International Economic Development Council Elects New Board Members

WASHINGTON, DC /WAYNESBORO, VA- The Nominating Committee of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has elected Mr. Gregory Hitchin, CEcD and Director of Economic Development and Tourism for the City of Waynesboro, to its Board of Directors for a two-year term. The election took place during the recent IEDC's 2017 Annual Conference. Mr. Hitchin will begin his two-year term January 2018.

"We are honored to nominate Gregory Hitchin, CEcD, as a new member of the IEDC Board of Directors and look forward to his leadership and service," said Jeffrey Finkle, CEcD, President and CEO of IEDC.

Greg Hitchin is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) with 19 years of Economic Development experience and has served as the Director of Economic Development and Tourism for the City of Waynesboro and Secretary /Treasurer for the EDA since April 2010. Before joining the City, Greg spent over 11 years as the Business Development Manager and the Treasurer/CFO of the IDA for the Onondaga County Office of Economic Development in Syracuse, New York.
