Waynesboro, VA – Waynesboro’s award-winning small business development initiative, Grow Waynesboro, is launching Grow Waynesboro Rockfish Gateway, a program focused on the city’s emerging Rockfish Gateway district on East Main Street.

Grow Waynesboro Rockfish Gateway offers a free, seven-week business training series designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners build the skills to start or expand a business in Waynesboro. Participants will learn the fundamentals of business planning, marketing, financial management, and operations through business classes led by experienced mentors and industry professionals.

After completing the training, selected participants will compete for up to $25,000 in startup grants during a live Pitch Night that will be open to the public. The event will showcase innovative business plans and celebrate the growing entrepreneurial energy within Waynesboro’s Rockfish Gateway district.

“Grow Waynesboro has a track record of turning big ideas into real businesses,” said Greg Hitchin, Director of Waynesboro Economic Development and Tourism. “By focusing this round on Rockfish Gateway, we’re helping fuel the district’s momentum and inviting the next wave of entrepreneurs to shape Waynesboro’s future.”
