Business Appreciation Breakfast
WAYNESBORO, VA– In recognition of the statewide Business Appreciation Celebration, the City of Waynesboro Office of Economic Development and Tourism, in cooperation with Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce, Augusta County, and the City of Staunton is pleased to announce that the annual Economic Development Business at Breakfast meeting is being offered at no charge to Chamber and non-Chamber members and businesses located in the area.
Area businesses play a critical role in strengthening our community by creating employment, adding investment, and employing a diverse workforce in a wide variety of industries including advanced manufacturing, energy, life science, tourism, agribusiness and information technology. The over 9,600 businesses in the metro area provide over 51,000 jobs to our citizens.
The three economic development offices are underwriting the cost of the breakfast as a small token of appreciation to our business community. In addition, the Holiday Inn, Greater Augusta Association of Realtors, Dominion Virginia Power, Heinz ProAV, McClung Companies, Wilson Workforce & Rehabilitation Center, Blue Ridge Community College and Shenandoah Valley Partnership are sponsoring the event.
The breakfast is being held at the Holiday Inn Staunton Conference Center, 152 Fairway Lane, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. While the event is free, registration is required and space is limited. To register, visit the Chamber website at: www.augustava.com.
The event will feature an economic update for the metro area, the launch of a new entrepreneurial development website, the announcement of the Dennis Burnett Community Excellence Awards, and door prizes!
