Waynesboro Inn Earns Top Industry Award
The News Virginian
One local bed and breakfast received a top honor in its industry this past week. Waynesboro’s Iris Inn and Cabins was named to the national Select Registry list. Out of 20,000 inns across the country, only 350 have made the list.
Iris Inn joins two others from Virginia, including the Inn on Campbell in Roanoke and Glen Gordon Manor in Huntly in making the list this year.
“We’re delighted to welcome these outstanding properties,” says Phil Jenkins, executive director, Select Registry. “Gaining admission to Select Registry is no easy task. Each property must pass rigorous, unannounced inspections to qualify and then to maintain its membership. We set the bar extremely high.”
Iris Inn and Cabins, located at 191 Chinaquapin Drive, stretches 11-acres in the Waynesboro area. This marks the latest of several awards for the business, which was named Virginia Living’s 2013 Most Welcoming Bed and Breakfast in the Shenandoah Valley and won TripAdvisor’s 2010-2012 Certificates of Excellence.
