
Virginia Street Arts Festival Coming to Downtown Waynesboro May 17-18
Waynesboro, VA — Downtown Waynesboro will come alive with color, creativity, and community spirit during the Virginia Street Arts Festival, taking place May 17–18, 2025. This free, family-friendly event invites the public to witness the live creation of three new large-scale murals by nationally recognized street artists Jesse Jentzen, Humble, and Andrew Davis.
Throughout the weekend, downtown Waynesboro will be alive with activity, including live music, interactive community art projects, and hands-on experiences for all ages. Take a guided tour with the Waynesboro Public Library and learn about downtown’s existing Street Art, or take your own tour and collect Waynesboro stickers in the Visit Waynesboro app. Visitors can also take part in hands-on art activities or community installations at each mural site, thanks to the creative collaboration of Shenandoah Valley Art Center, Waynesboro Parks and Recreation, Initial Inspiration, and Destination Downtown Waynesboro.
Festivalgoers can also enjoy world-class art and history on wheels:
- The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ Artmobile will be on site Saturday and Sunday, offering access to their mobile gallery of rotating exhibitions.
- The Library of Virginia’s Library on the Go experience will be available Saturday only, bringing books, activities, and educational opportunities from the Commonwealth’s Library.
The Waynesboro Farmers Market will run Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm in Constitution Park, featuring fresh local produce, artisan goods, and a kids’ art experience for budding young creatives.
